Review·Marketing & Sales

Romy had my interest before it had my trust.

Finding my first customers is a compelling offer. I reached checkout before I felt ready to buy.

The Romy homepage hero shows the headline You built it. Meet the 100 people who need it., with a red hand-drawn ellipse circling the phrase 100 people who need it. Beneath the supporting paragraph, a black Start First Users button sits beside an underlined Read my site free first link with a right-pointing arrow, matching the noted placement of the free-read link next to the main call to action.

What I tried

Romy caught my attention on Product Hunt because finding the first people who need my product is exactly the kind of help I want. The promise of 100 potential customers a month was enough to make me try getting started. I understood the outcome it was selling, but I wanted to see how it would get there. This is a review of that first visit and purchase journey; I have not paid for or tested the prospect lists.

Where I got stuck

There was more text than I wanted to work through before trying the product. I went looking to register, landed on the pricing section, entered my email and clicked through to Stripe. That caught me off guard: I was still exploring, and suddenly I was deciding whether to spend $49 a month. The price is stated on the button, so it is not a hidden-charge issue. I just had not built enough confidence in what I would receive. The site does offer a free read and sample results; those did not become part of the path I took.

A pricing page shows two plan cards side by side, First Users 25 at $49 a month and First Users 50 at $99 a month, each listing feature bullets above a Your email input field and a start button. A red oval annotation circles the email field and the Start First Users 25 - $49/month button on the lower-priced plan.
Fig. 2The $49/month plan asks for an email beside the paid-start button. I wanted more confidence in the deliverable at this decision point.

One thing I'd change

I would make one concrete example part of the main getting-started path, before checkout: a product, a prospect Romy found for it, the evidence behind that match, and the message I would actually send. Put the existing sample and free read next to that decision, with a clear distinction between exploring and starting a paid plan. I already want the result. Seeing the work would help me trust the promise without having to read another long explanation.

Would I pay

Maybe. The offer is appealing enough that I could see myself paying $49 a month. Before I do, I need more confidence that the prospects will fit my product and that I understand what I am buying. I would be willing to take another look after seeing a convincing example. Based on my own visit, with AI assistance to check the public pages and edit this review.
