Thousand explained the workspace before I knew why I needed it.

What I tried

I opened Thousand after noticing it doing well on Product Hunt. I spent some time on the homepage trying to work out what I would use it for. It leads with Git-backed documentation for people and agents, a markdown repository and folder-level permissions. I could read those descriptions, but I struggled to connect them to a problem I wanted to solve. My visit ended on the homepage; I did not register or try the workspace.

Where I got stuck

The page kept telling me what the product was, while I was still asking why I would need it. Further down, there are useful explanations: people and agents share one document without copies drifting apart, and teammates can edit without using a terminal. Those are more concrete reasons to care, but they did not click early enough for me. Someone already struggling with these problems may recognise the fit immediately. I arrived curious, without a strong reason to research another documentation tool, and the opening did not give me one.

One thing I'd change

I would bring one recognisable problem into the opening, then use the existing workspace demo to show the relief. For example: your team edits documents in one place, your agents read a different copy, and keeping them aligned becomes another job. Show how one shared document changes that situation, then explain Git and folder permissions. A visitor should be able to recognise their own problem before being asked to open a workspace.

Would I pay

No, at this point. I have not found a strong enough reason to use it myself, so I do not yet have a reason to pay. Thousand is currently free while early, though. If these documentation problems sound familiar, it is worth registering and giving it a try while it costs nothing. I stopped at the homepage, so I cannot judge the workspace itself.
